After a long career Mike `Doc` Emrick has retired at the age of 74. He is well known for his broadcasting of NHL games and was the voice of the devils for 21 years.
His career started back in the 1970’s where he started calling college and minor league hockey games. In 2011 he joined NBC sports and he has become a household name. His 47 years of broadcasting has finally come to a graceful end, and his broadcasts will be missed by many. Mike Emrick has a whopping 3,750 games under his belt.
In 2008 Mike joined the Hockey Hall of Fame and received the Foster Hewitt Memorial Award for outstanding contributions to hockey.
