The new BMW X5 M is one of the most anticipated vehicles of the year, and BMW has just confirmed it will be hitting showrooms this fall. It’s been rumored for a while now that BMW would be bringing the X5 M to market, but now we have official confirmation from BMW that it will be arriving in the US in September.
The X5 M is a mid-sized luxury sedan that has been rumored to be coming to market for a while now. It’s the second mid-size sedan in BMW’s lineup, following the M4 Coupe, and the first to be built on the new M division’s new M4 platform.
BMW hasn’t released any official information about the X5 M, but we do know it will be available in a variety of trim levels, including a base version with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a starting price of $57,500. A more expensive option is the M Sport package, which features an extra powertrain, suspension upgrades, and more, all for a starting price of $67,500.
The X5 M is based on the new M4’s front fascia, with a new front grille, LED headlights, and new side skirts. There’s also a new rear bumper and diffuser, and the front bumper is now made from aluminum.
The M Sport package also adds a new front splitter, side skirts, a new rear diffuser, and a new rear spoiler. The M Sport package also comes standard with a heated steering wheel, a heated steering wheel surround, and leather seats.
BMW hasn’t yet announced a price for the X5 M, but we’re expecting the car to start around $60,000.
